The Pinto Horse Association (PtHA) was formed from a grassroots movement to selectively breed horses for good color in the 1930s. After several years of hard work, the group finalized their incorporation in 1956. The PtHA moved their International Headquarters to Bethany in 2004 upon finding Bethany to be an excellent fit with their priorities of cost of living and a central U.S. location. Through the help of Oklahoma Board Members, Southern Nazarene University, and First Bethany Bank, PtHA secured property and funding for their new headquarters. PtHA is actively involved in the local community through the equine program at SNU and the annual Bethany Freedom Festival. The PtHA encourages the community to visit their Museum at 7330 NW 23rd to learn more about their organization and Western History. Call 491-0111 for more information on the Museum or the Association.
