Do you remember where you were when the bomb went off?  Most long-time residents of Oklahoma city have a vivid recollection of that moment that changed our world.  It is hard to believe that most of the students graduating high school now were born the year of this horrible tragedy. 

The legacy of those lost and those who survived is honored by tributes at the Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum.  Over the years, it has created new resources to teach respect, forgiveness, and healing. 

On Thursday, April 19, Lynne Roller, the Museum’s Education Director, will speak at the Chamber’s annual Excellence in Education Luncheon, marking the 17th anniversary of the attack on the Murrah building and an entire community forever changed by it. 

We will look to the future by presenting the Northwest Chamber Community Scholarship to four outstanding graduating seniors.  Join us for this very special event as we remember the past and celebrate the future. 

Tickets for this luncheon are $25 each or $150 for a table of six.

“Spring Service Safari” to Honor Community Friend

Saturday, April 21

9 AM – Noon

Parking Lot at Abel’s Restaurant, 5822 NW 50th Street 

Businesses, Churches, Schools, Neighborhoods, and Civic Groups are encouraged to join forces for the Warr Acres Community Clean Up on Saturday April 21.  Volunteers will meet at the Abel’s parking lot in the morning, where they will receive a map of a specific area and supplies to pick up trash and debris throughout the town.  When the sirens sound at noon, we will gather at Abel’s Mexican Restaurant for a lite lunch and to celebrate working together on this project.

We dedicate this service project to Safari McDoulett, an active Chamber Ambassador and Assistant to County Commiissioner Brian Maughan, lost in a tragic traffic accident in February.

     Join us at the Membership Advantages Orientation on Thursday, April 12 from Noon to 1 PM at Sandler Training, 3000 United Founders Blvd, Suite 224 in Oklahoma City . This event is designed to help you get more involved with the Northwest Chamber and learn about the benefits of Membership.  You’ll have the opportunity to meet many of the leaders of our organization and learn more about ways that you can get involved and provide the maximum visibility for your business.  This is the perfect event for new members who are wanting to take advantage of the resources of the Northwest Chamber. 

     We will have training sessions for all members directly before and after the orientation to help everyone learn to utilize their page on the new Chamber website.  These sessions will be live demonstrations showing you how to personalize your page on our website.  Feel free to bring your laptop or ipad to follow along.  We ask that you choose between the two training sessions because they will cover the same material.
