“SHARING A LEADERSHIP VISION”
When Albert Gray was hired as CEO of the Children’s Center in 1978, he was brought in to close the Center due to it’s poor financial performance. Instead, he turned the organization around, and today, 35 years later, it is widely regarded as Oklahoma’s foremost healthcare provider for children with complex medical and physical disabilities.

SEEKING NOMINEES FOR CHAMBER AWARDS
The Northwest Chamber is currently seeking nominees for the following awards to be presented to its members at the Annual Banquet, “An Evening of Accolades” on Tuesday, January 29.
Please nominate the businesses and individuals who you believe best meet these criteria. (You can nominate your own business, or those of others you deem worthy of recognition.) Only businesses current on all chamber financial obligations will be eligible for awards. All nominations need to be recieved by the Chamber no later than Thursday, December 20.
Business of the Year:
Presented to a business (25 employees or more) with an established history in the area that has achieved or accomplished substantial business oriented goals or objectives, or has made significant contributions to community oriented projects through its voluntary efforts.
Past winners include: 2011 – Deaconess Hospital, 2010 – Coppermark Bank, 2009 – Putnam City Schools, OG&E, Southwestern Christian University, Cowan Printing, First Bethany Bank, City of Bethany, Southern Nazarene University, Merritt Properties
Vision Award for Outstanding Achievement:
Presented to a small business (Less than 25 employees) that is at least two years old and that has achieved an outstanding pattern of growth, or been innovative in its products, that demonstrates integrity in its business practices and exhibits an active commitment to the Chamber and the community it serves.
Past recipients include: 2011- Sandler Training, 2010- Creative Photo Video, Team Logic IT, The Great Frame Up, etc.
New Member of the Year:
Presented to a new member (Joined October 1, 2011 – Sept. 30, 2012) who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the Chamber and or the community through their leadership and voluntary participation in chamber events and programs.
Past recipients include: 2011 – Running Wild Catering, 2010 – Morgan Real Estate Group, Imagine If Photography, PBW Industries
Leadership in Action:
Presented to a graduate of the Chamber’s Leadership Program who is actively demonstrating leadership and making a difference in the Northwest Metro Community, recognizing both the individual and the group they are serving.
Presented the first time in 2011 – To Jeff Groves, LNW ’09 for his work as the founding President of the Windsor Area Business Group.
The Northwest Chamber Hall of Honor
Presented since 1954 to an individual who has demonstrated significant achievement and service to our community and/or organization over time. Examples include outstanding community service of many years duration, career achievement deserving of state or national recognition, or community service in only one or two areas that is unique, and has made a significant or substantial impact on the community.

Presented to an area business for its contributions and positive impact on our communities over a long period of time. It is a business that has shown itself to be innovative in products or services and has exhibited an enduring ability to be successful.
Past recipients include: 2011: Coppermark Bank , 2009: City of Bethany, 2008: The Tribune, 2007: Francis Tuttle Technology Center; Southwestern Christian University, Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, Diffee Motor Company, First Bethany Bank & Trust, The Children’s Center, Southern Nazarene University.
