The "Disco Era" was a time in the mid 1970s to early 1980s when uptempo dance music dominated the charts and people enjoyed dancing in nightclubs or "discotheques".

This era popularized D.J's spinning non-stop dance music and lights scattered over the floor by the mirror ball.

Here are a few of the popular songs to get you groovin':

"Boogie Oogie Oogie"  by A Taste of Honey

"Stayin' Alive" by The Bee Gees

"Let's Groove" by Earth, Wind & Fire

"Good Times" by Chic

"Shake Your Booty" by KC and the Sunshine Band

"The Hustle" by Van McCoy

"Working my Way Back to You" by The Spinners

"Ladies Night" by Kool and the Gang

"Macho Man" by The Village People

"I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor

"Last Dance" by Donna Summer
