Our condolences go out to the Family of Rob Ivins. On June 15 we celebrated with them his beautiful new Anytime Fitness Gym location. Just one month later he was admitted to the hospital with pancreatic cancer. Rob was a fighter, literally, having won many boxing titles over the years and loved sharing his experiences with others training for excellence. The gym provided an opportunity to work with his kids and with sister Emily nearby with Speech Pathways and mom Becky Ivins Real Estate office just down the street. Rob grew up in NWOKC and is a graduate of Putnam City High School. Rob's Memorial Service will be Friday, October 27 at 3 pm at OKC First Church of the Nazarene, 4400 NW Expressway. There’s a big need for nurses in Oklahoma.
The state is facing a nursing shortage that has gotten worse during the pandemic. The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that the United States needs 190,000 new nurses a year to meet the demand.
One university has a program to get qualified nurses to work faster.
